Abstract:

Background: Stress-related insomnia is a common psychosomatic disorder characterized by difficulty in sleep initiation, frequent awakenings, non-restorative sleep, and daytime fatigue. In Ayurveda, similar features are described under Anidra, predominantly involving vitiation of Vata and Pitta along with disturbance of Manasika Bhavas. Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Yoga therapy in stress-related insomnia (Anidra) through a randomized, controlled pilot clinical study.
