Management of Tinnitus (Karnapoorana with Apamarga Kshara Taila and Goghrita Pana)- A Case Report

Dr Aarti Kumari

Vol. No. 21, Special Issue No 2 2026

Abstract:

Karnanada is a Vata-dominant disorder described in Ayurvedic classics, clinically comparable to tinnitus. This open-label single-arm clinical study evaluated the effect of Karna Poorana with Apamarga Kshara Taila for 30 days along with oral Goghrita (20 ml daily), followed by a 30-day post-treatment follow-up. Assessment was conducted using Tinnitus Severity Scale and Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI). Statistically significant improvement was observed after treatment and sustained during follow-up.
