Abstract:
The disciplines of psychology, counselling, and behavioural science are intricately linked domains that emphasize the comprehension of human cognition, affect, and conduct to foster mental health and adaptive functioning. Psychology constitutes the empirical exploration of behavioural patterns and cognitive processes, encompassing domains such as cognition, affectivity, personality traits, and social dynamics. It furnishes theoretical paradigms and evidence-based research to elucidate the mechanisms through which individuals interpret, assimilate, retain, and react to their environmental contexts. Counselling represents an applied segment of psychology, dedicated to assisting individuals in managing personal, social, emotional, and vocational adversities. Through organized therapeutic alliances, counsellors enhance self-awareness, facilitate problem-solving, promote stress management, and encourage behavioural modification.
