Abstract:

In the modern world, sciatica or back pain has become a serious problem for almost everyone, troubling everyone, including the elderly, children, women, and others. In ancient times, humans had a regular routine; their daily routines, including sleeping and waking, eating, and resting, were all time-bound. However, due to the current erratic daily routine, back pain is being reported in almost every age group. This not only disrupts physical balance but also affects the individual mentally. Back pain is a result of both physical failure and increased mental stress. The spinal cord, or backbone, consists of vertebrae that extend from the base of the head to the tailbone. Between each vertebra is a disc, which helps us move left and right, forward and backward. Improper posture, bending, or excessive mental stress, etc., continuously exert pressure on the discs, which puts pressure on the spinal nerves, which causes back pain. Currently, the Yogic medical system is considered suitable for the relief of back pain. In this, various aspects of yoga such as Pavanmuktasana Part-3 and other asanas, pranayama, yoga nidra, and bayana can be used to get relief from back pain.
